The rattle puzzles consist of several square rods and round pins. The smallest rattle puzzle shown here has total six square rods with a size of 2 x 2 x 6 units. The length of each pin is 6 units and the diameter approximately 1 unit. The smallest rattle puzzle consist of three different pieces and one key-pin. If the puzzle is constructed correctly in the middle of the puzzle an open space is formed. In this space you can put a marble. If you shake the puzzle you understand the name of this puzzle.

Making this puzzle isn't difficult. First you have to saw the six blocks. In every block three holes has to be drilled. Thereafter you glue the pins in the holes according to the diagram below. The remaining holes has to be filed a little bit wider so you can play with this puzzle more easier.
