The magic disk is constructed out of three equal parts. If the puzzle is assembled, it looks like it is impossible to take apart. But by using a simple 'trick' it is possible to disassembles or assemble the puzzle with one move.

The figure below shows one piece. In total you need three of those pieces to from the magic disk. You can make the three pieces out of different kinds of wood, but you can also cut the pieces out of multiplex and after gluing the parts together paint the pieces in three different colors. 

As you can see, every pieces is constructed out of three separate, but equal parts, which are glued to each other. The thickness of the pieces is no matter of concern. The design graph shows the exact angle of all parts and how the parts must be glued to each other.
